Drag RacingMy video page has a lot more of my racing highlights, I will update this page eventually with more pictures and time slips.The closest track to my house is an 1/8th mile track, I like to go on street legal nights. It is heads up grudge racing with other street legal cars. It is a lot of fun and I get a lot of people asking about my van. |

9-30-06: My First RunI made it out to the drag strip for the first time and had a blast. It was a test and tune day and there were not to many cars there. My first time pulling into the line up I could see the track workers in the staging area laughing. They only laughed that time, they knew I was serious after my first run. My first run turned out to be my best run of the day. Here is the time slip. Keep in mind this is a 1/8th mile track. That race I ran alone, I thought it was pretty good and from the conversions to 1/4 mile I have found I am guessing I am at about mid 14’s? |

9-30-06: Artie vs. Mustang GTThere was a nice Mustang GT there and the owner was a real nice guy. So I asked him to run with me and he did even though he was a little reluctant to. I am glad he did it turned out great on video! This was my worst run of the day and I came away with the win even though his E.T was better than mine. (but not better than my best run!) 9-30-06: Artie vs. CamaroNext I went up against a Camaro, it was real loud with drag slicks, roll bar, hood scoop and a huge tach on the dash. I was hoping to not get beat to bad. It was close the whole way, but it was me in the lead! Here is a picture and the time slip. |
