I always hated minivans and swore I would never own one, however I really like Mopar turbo cars and I like being the underdog too. Driving a car that no one notices was also quite appealing to me as well. After seeing a few of these vans in action it was really appealing to me, but I just could not see myself driving one. It took me about a year of looking at the various websites that have these vans on them before I really started to think about buying one, then I spent about a year on and off looking for one to buy but not real seriously. I still really did not think I would like driving one. Then my wife and I were planning our summer vacation and I thought that a minivan would be a great vehicle for our road trip vacation. Good gas mileage, lots of room for the kids and we could probably sleep in it if we needed to. So that was it, I made up my mind, I had to have one.
I spent about 2 months looking all over the country (online) until I found one that I was happy with. I eventually found this one in Seattle WA, The bad news was that Seattle is a long way from home (I live in Minneapolis) But it looked great in the pictures and the salesman assured me that it was just as nice in person. So my wife and I flew to Seattle and we drove a rental car up to the car lot. I was not dissapointed. No rust anywhere! 93,000 miles no peeling paint, runs great, drives nice and working A/C, awesome! I bought the van and then we did some sightseeing in Seattle. We had never been there before so we had some fun there, Jimi Hendrix's grave, the very first Starbucks, the Space Needle and dinner on the waterfront. Then off we went, 1700 miles in 2 days and I am home with a new van.
